10 years ago, after divorcing her husband, Rina raised Taichi on her own, and now that Taichi has grown up, he was able to secure a job at a real estate company. However, Taichi did not want to move out of their home, which took over an hour one way to get to the office. Rina was growing increasingly anxious about Taichi, who never took time off or went out to play, and never brought friends or a girlfriend home. Occasionally, in an attempt to get him to go outside, Rina would invite Taichi on a hot spring trip.
